The report lists recommended improvement measures for implementation and clearly shows what the indicative annual savings for your household would be for each energy-saving improvement measure implemented, for example loft insulation top up, new condensing boiler, solar panels and improved heating controls.

nextGenergy, based in Fife, and assessing properties in other regions of Scotland too, can work with you beyond the initial remit of energy assessing your home and provision of your energy report.

nextGenergy offers assistance with the implementation of recommended improvement measures. Getting a Green Deal Advice Report is essential if you wish to access the grant and loan funding available in Scotland to support the implementation of the measures recommended on the EPC part of your Green Deal Advice Report.

How to book a Home Energy Assessment with Green Deal Assessor Shirley Paterson

To get a home energy assessment starts with booking an appointment HERE. Once we receive your request, we will contact you by phone to discuss, and you can provide us with a description of your property.  During our conversation, we can agree the type of assessment best suited for your needs, and we will arrange  convenient day and time for this.  Then you will receive a confirmation email with some pre-assessment documents – we do not want you to be concerned about these forms – all can be dealt with during your actual survey.

On arrival at your home, the time to allow for an assessment, is typically 1 – 1 1/2 hours for an EPC (Energy Performance Certificate) survey or 2 hours for a Green Deal Assessment – if your property is large, or has been extended, then your property’s survey will likely take that bit longer.  Once the assessment and subsequent report has been completed by your Green Deal Advisor,  you will be in possession of either an EPC or a Green Deal Advice Report.  Either of these reports could be your key to accessing Scottish Government funding to support the implementation of the home energy-saving improvements you intend having installed.
